Sierra Linsinski and Keyala McHenry turn loss into love through craftsmanship

The finished garden table, crafted with care and dedication
Sierra Linsinski and Keyala McHenry, two dedicated students from North Division High School, have been integral members of HeartLove Place since 2021, when they first joined through our high school culinary program during their freshman year.
Both young women have since participated in multiple academic and life skill programs at HLP, developing leadership qualities, teamwork abilities, and a genuine passion for giving back to their community.
This past summer, when HeartLove Place's beloved garden table—a piece holding special meaning for staff and community members—was stolen, Sierra and Keyala didn't hesitate to respond.
Utilizing skills learned in their shop class, they designed and built a brand new table for HLP, transforming a moment of community loss into an inspiring story of restoration, resilience, and love.
"We are grateful for their dedication and heart to not just be part of HLP, but to pour back into it."
